I have an acquaintance who went through the Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) just ahead of me. I know her family from the first Apple A Day party that I attended soooo many years ago. She invited me to be part of a BMT Facebook group that I believe that I have referenced here before. I had to stop reading the posts pre-transplant, as the horror stories from some of the patients started to affect my mental state and attitude. I know that each situation is different, but holy fuck some of the shit that these people had to endure is straight out of a horror novel. Since my transplants were completed, I have allowed myself to peruse some of the posts. I’ve actually been able to offer a little insight to people about to embark on the BMT cruise, themselves, which makes it worth reading stuff that still terrifies me.

Please pardon me if this information is repetitive or redundant (see what I did there),
