Tuesday, as you may or may not remember, is Appointment Day. I think we are closing in on securing a date for the next round of treatments, which makes me glad because I can get them over with and concerned because I wonder what it’s going to do to me. In addition to my blood work and a visit with a nurse practitioner, my oncologist ordered a C/T scan so that we can see how much of an effect the last round of chemo had on my tumors and affected lymph nodes. They did a scan in the hospital, but it was just a few days after chemo and the drugs hopefully continued to attack the cancerous entities in the following days/weeks. I’ll find out next week. I did learn something while getting prepped for my scan that scared the hell out of me, but it wasn’t something I’m currently dealing with. Rather, it was something that happened one time when I stayed at Moffitt and I guess I either never heard it properly or it completely slipped my mind.
