I intended the title of this post to be a reference to Reggae Rise Up, but it also serves as a lyrical reminder of the predominant theme to the best Rocky film in the franchise, Rocky 3. Those two words are the first in Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger,” which you’ve undoubtedly heard at many sporting events. The two-word phrase has a lot of meaning to me. I’ll delve into that in the ensuing paragraphs.
