I’m not certain where or when insecurity entered my life. At some point, probably early in my development, a tiny monster in my brain started telling me things like “You’re not good enough. Nobody likes you and if they do, they wouldn’t if they knew the real you. You don’t deserve to be happy or experience love.” As toxic as I knew these thoughts to be, I listened to them and they poisoned my outlook and experiences.
