Let’s get this out of the way: it sucks to be known as The Cancer Guy. Once people learn that you’re afflicted with this dreadful disease, you become someone different. You’re not “that asshole on the radio” any longer. You’re not “a decent enough dad.” You’re The Guy With Cancer. Instead of “How’s it going,” you’re greeted with “How are you feeling” or “Glad you’re doing better.” It’s all-encompassing, and that can suck.
