Yesterday, I took another leap forward in my recovery from cancer and its treatments. I tried to play golf at the Mike Alstott Charity Weekend a few months back. It didn’t go well. It was a combination of being ridiculously out of practice, a nasty blister-turned-wound on my right hand, and a questionable chocolate I ingested around 8 in the morning before we teed off. Those factors combined to produce a rough day in which I couldn’t finish 18 holes, played like shit and wondered if I’d ever be able to enjoy a round of golf again.
