Since my oncologist told me that I’m no longer immunocompromised and that I have the Covid antibodies (plus a flu shot), I thought I’d throw caution to the wind and get back into the social realm. This past week/weekend, I attended an outstanding Halloween Horror Nights on Thursday night & a fun Halloween party on Saturday. Most people eschew social activities if they’ve been through two stem cell transplants, as more people=more germs and more germs=greater chance of getting sick. Getting sick with the immune system of a little tiny baby is no bueno. “Shit,” I thought, “I have a life to live and Imma do it.”
As soon as my nose started getting congested on Monday, I feared the worst.
