Listening to today’s “best-of” that’s airing during our time slot, I’m hearing segments that I’ve never heard as a listener before. It’s quite an interesting experience, one I’m not sure that anyone could relate to unless they’ve hosted a show and then listened to it afterwards. Many years ago, when I’d hear myself on the radio, I’d brutally critique it. Shoulda said this, that attempt at a joke wasn’t funny, why did you take that call, etc. Perhaps I’m in a better place now, but I’m thoroughly enjoying the experience. John Senning does a great job of selecting quality content that hasn’t aired a hundred times before. It’s so lazy and disrespectful to the listener when a show takes a day off and airs a segment that the audience has already grown tired of. That leads me to the point of this post: When I’m Coming Back.
